Mamelodi Sundowns FC completed late transfer business before the PSL window closed on Monday. The Chloorkop side officially secured the services of defender Wandile Dube from AmaZulu FC.
The 22-year-old arrives as a left-sided centre-back. His addition addresses a clear need in the squad, giving head coach Miguel Cardoso essential depth on the left side of the defence. Dube will compete directly with Khulumani Ndamane for a starting berth.

The move reflects long-term planning by Sundowns. Scouting reports show the club tracked Dube’s development for an extended period before finalizing the deal.
According to a report on soccerladuma.co.za, Dube did not make an appearance for AmaZulu this season prior to his transfer. Consequently, the technical team will need to build up his match fitness before introducing him to regular competitive action.
Dube was promoted to the Usuthu first team during the 2024/25 campaign. He made 10 appearances across all competitions last season.
