Jackpot City is a licensed South African online casino offering slots, live dealer games and Aviator style crash games, with new players able to claim up to 350 free spins or R2000 in deposit bonuses.
Getting to Know Jackpot City
Jackpot City has been operating for more than 25 years and runs a casino only platform for the South African market: no sportsbook, no bet builder, just slots, live dealer tables, crash games and a handful of arcade style titles. The lobby is organised into clear categories, which makes it easy to browse without scrolling through everything at once:
- Trending and Exclusives for the titles getting the most play right now
- Fortune Lounge for jackpot and progressive style slots
- New arrivals, refreshed regularly
- Seasonal collections such as October Heat and Mzansi Moolah, which rotate in and out
License and Regulation
Jackpot City in South Africa is operated by Eastern Dawn Sports (Pty) Ltd (registration 2021/915692/07), licensed and regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator under Bookmaker Licence Number 9-2-1-09658, first issued on 25 April 2023. No one under 18 may register or play. The National Responsible Gambling Programme counselling line is 0800 006 008, with a WhatsApp help line on 076 675 0710.
Jackpot City Pros and Cons
- ✅ Licensed and regulated by the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, with over 25 years in the market
- ✅ A genuinely large live dealer lobby: roughly 49 roulette variants, 60 blackjack tables and 37 baccarat tables
- ✅ A dedicated Aviator and crash game selection, including JetX, Speed Crash and PlinkoX alongside Aviator itself
- ✅ Native apps for iOS, Android and Huawei, each installable from a QR code on the download page
- ✅ Four stage welcome bonus worth up to 350 free spins or R2000 in deposit matches
- ✅ Support available by live chat, email and phone, with social channels on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and X
- ❌ No sportsbook. This is a casino only operator, so there is nowhere to bet on football, rugby or anything else
- ❌ The Android app is not on the Google Play Store. Players have to enable unknown sources in their phone settings and install the APK directly from the Jackpot City site
- ❌ The 30x wagering requirement on the welcome bonus sits on the higher end for the South African market
- ❌ Card deposits cannot be used for withdrawals, so players need a second method such as EFT or 1Voucher ready before they try to cash out
- ❌ Several of the running promotions last only days rather than months, so the lobby and offer mix changes often
All the Features of Jackpot City: Sports, Casino and Aviator
There is no sportsbook here, so this section focuses on what Jackpot City actually offers: slots, live tables, crash games and a small arcade corner.
Casino Games
Slots are split across more than a dozen categories rather than one long list. The Exclusives collection alone runs to 153 titles, Fortune Lounge has 85, the New arrivals shelf has 43, and seasonal collections like October Heat (29 titles) and Mzansi Moolah (18 titles) rotate in and out. Providers include Jackpot City’s own in-house studio, Games Global, Red Tiger, Pragmatic Play, Habanero, Playtech and Hacksaw Gaming. Table games cover Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Craps and Poker variants, both as RNG games and in the live lobby below.
Aviator and Crash Games
Jackpot City carries Aviator from Spribe, with a R1 minimum bet, sitting in its own tab on the main menu. Around it sits a wider crash and instant win selection: JetX, Taxi Ride, FlyX Party, PlinkoX, Sky Cash, High Flyer and Cash It Multiplayer are all available from the same Aviator and Crash Games sections, each playable in under a couple of minutes per round.
Live Casino
The live lobby is one of the stronger parts of the site. It is organised into Trending, Game Shows, New, Roulette (49 tables), Blackjack (60 tables), First Person games (21), Dice (4), Poker (13), Baccarat (37) and Sicbo (5). Game show fans will recognise Crazy Time, Monopoly Big Baller, Mega Ball and Dream Catcher, while table game players can choose from specialised formats like XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, Lightning Dragon Tiger and Speed 6 Scanner Baccarat.
Jackpot City Bonus and Promotions
Welcome Bonus Terms
This offer is targeted at players at the point of registration. Sign up, then make a deposit of R50 or more within 7 days of creating your account to qualify. On each of your first four deposits, you choose between free spins on Hot Hot Jackpotcity or a deposit match:
| Deposit | Free spins option | Deposit match option |
|---|---|---|
| First deposit | 50 free spins | 100% match up to R500 |
| Second deposit | 75 free spins | 110% match up to R500 |
| Third deposit | 100 free spins | 125% match up to R500 |
| Fourth deposit | 125 free spins | 150% match up to R500 |
A few things worth knowing about how the offer actually pays out:
- Across all four deposits, that is a maximum of 350 free spins or R2000 in deposit matches, never both on the same deposit
- Deposit match funds are added to your bonus balance and carry a 30x wagering requirement before withdrawal
- Winnings from the free spins carry the same 30x requirement
- You can remove a bonus you have been queued for from the Bonus Summary page, but only before any wagering on it begins
- The offer is only open to players who registered their account after 16 July 2026
Full T&Cs apply to the Jackpot City bonus.
Ongoing Promotions
Beyond the welcome offer, the promotions page runs a rotating mix of time bound campaigns rather than a single standing reload bonus. At the time of writing these include:
- Mzansi Moolah, a R1 million pot drawn Wednesdays and Fridays
- Happy Hour Cash Rush, R400,000 split between 100 winners twice a week
- Prize Drops, R450,000 in random cash drops twice a week
- Seasonal pushes such as October Heat and Trick or Tada
Because several of these run for days rather than months, check the Promotions tab for what is live before you point readers at a specific one.

Responsible Gambling: Our Advice
- Understand the risks. Casino games are built on chance, and no outcome is guaranteed
- Set a budget before you play, and treat it as money you are comfortable losing
- Take regular breaks, and stop if you are chasing losses
- Only play games you actually understand the rules of
Final Verdict: Our Rating
Jackpot City suits players who want a casino only platform with real depth: dozens of live tables, a well stocked Aviator and crash game corner, and hundreds of slots across rotating seasonal collections. It is not the right fit if you also want to bet on sport, and the Android install process asks a bit more of players than a straight Play Store download. For casino focused South African players, the welcome offer and live lobby make it a reasonable place to start.
