Congolese winger Glody Makabi Lilepo remains bound by a domestic suspension at Kaizer Chiefs. The forward received a second yellow card in the penultimate match of last season against AmaZulu FC. He earned the caution after removing his shirt to celebrate a winning goal.
The IFAB Laws of the Game mandate a caution for excessive celebration involving shirt removal. Consequently, Lilepo received a two-match ban. He sat out the final league fixture against Chippa United.
Disciplinary Rules and Season Opener
The NSL Handbook outlines clear protocols regarding carryover suspensions. Chapter 5 on disciplinary matters states:

Lilepo is currently the subject of ongoing transfer negotiations. North African clubs AS FAR and Al Ahli Benghazi have submitted formal offers to Amakhosi. Both proposals exceed the fee paid to French third-division club Valenciennes in January last year.
However, the completion of the transfer relies on converting these offers into confirmed financial transactions. Until the transfer is finalized, the player remains registered with the Soweto giants and bound by league disciplinary frameworks.
