Match Predictions

Cameroon are firm favourites to win as they host underdogs Kenya in an Afcon qualifier this week.

Cameroon vs Kenya Betting Tips

  • Bet on Cameroon to win – 1.51 at Betway.
  • Bet on Cameroon to win 2-0 – 4.70 at 10bet.
  • Bet on Cameroon to keep a clean sheet – 1.50 at Betway.

Bet on Cameroon to win

Ranked 102 in the world, Kenya are still a bit adrift of the top teams in Africa and the World. It will be a surprise should they succeed in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. By contrast, Cameroon are ranked 53 in the world. Cameroon are not in their best state as tensions between their Football Association and it’s head Samuel Eto are ongoing.

With experienced attackers in captain Vincent Aboubakar and Bryan Mbuemo in their team, Cameroon will have no shortage of chances to score in this game. Kenya’s defence are not used to regularly playing against strikers who are worthy of playing in the world’s top five leagues. Cameroon should record a comfortable win.

Bet on Cameroon to win 2-0

The teams have not played against each other since Cameroon beat Kenya 3-1 back in January 2010. The teams first played each other 1972. Kenya have never beaten Cameroon before but have drawn against them four times.

Given that there is a gulf in class between the two teams and that Cameroon are playing at home, the Indomitable Lions should be prepared to settle for a 2-0 win in this game. They will be aware that they also need to preserve their best players ahead of the next fixture on 14 October against Kenya as well which will be tougher as Kenya will have home advantage for that game.

Bet on Cameroon to keep a clean sheet

Even though Manchester United have not had a good start to the new English Premier League season, Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana has been one of the best players for his team so far. Due to the form of the Cameroon goalie, it is hard to see Kenya breaching his goalline with the few opportunities that they get.
