The global stage always changes the market for football talent. Following South Africa’s recent exit from the World Cup, local stars are attracting massive international interest. Major tournament exposure has immediately driven up player valuations and opened doors to elite leagues.
According to a report by Goal.com, several Mzansi players are currently at the center of heavy transfer discussions across Europe and the Middle East.
Massive Moves for Orlando Pirates Stars
Orlando Pirates finds itself in the direct line of fire regarding transfer bids. Rising star Relebohile Mofokeng has officially secured a move to Belgian champions Saint-Gilloise. Chicago Fire defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi has drawn interest from 10 European teams, including Nottingham Forest and Ajax, following an exceptional World Cup campaign. However, his club is reluctant to sell him mid-season. Finally, an unnamed French club has bid for Gift Links, while Burnley maintains a long-term interest in 31-year-old Aubrey Mudau.
