Mamelodi Sundowns have officially finalized the transfer of young defender Wandile Dube. The left-sided center-back joins the club following a deal completed just before the Premier Soccer League transfer window closed on Monday.
According to reports by soccerladuma.co.za, the Chloorkop side actively pursued defensive reinforcements behind the scenes. They successfully wrapped up the deal for the 22-year-old before the deadline.
Squad Depth and Competition
Dube is expected to compete for a starting role on the left side of the central defense. He will contend with Khulumani Ndamane for game time under head coach Miguel Cardoso.
The versatile defender made 10 appearances across all competitions for AmaZulu FC last season after being promoted during the 2024/25 campaign. However, he had not featured for Usuthu this season prior to the transfer. The coaching staff will likely focus on building his match fitness before inserting him into the matchday squad.
