TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has officially rejected an offer from Mamelodi Sundowns for star midfielder Puso Dithejane. The decision highlights a growing trend in the Betway Premiership. Smaller clubs are increasingly reluctant to lose key assets for figures that do not meet their internal valuations.

Sukazi confirmed the move during an interview with Ukhozi FM. He described the bid as underwhelming. “We respectfully rejected it because it didn’t meet our valuation for the player,” Sukazi explained. This stance reflects the Rockets’ ambition to remain competitive at the top of the table.

A Rapid Rise to Prominence

The 21-year-old midfielder has been a revelation since joining TS Galaxy. He was instrumental in the club’s fifth-place finish during the 2024/25 season. His current form remains high. Dithejane has already contributed four goals and six assists in 15 appearances this term.

His success is a sharp contrast to his time at Kaizer Chiefs. Sukazi pointed out that Dithejane was previously asked to be a ball boy at Naturena. Now, he is one of the most sought-after talents in South African football. This turnaround demonstrates the importance of the right environment for youth development.

Speculation Around Kaizer Chiefs

Despite rumors of a return to the Amakhosi, Sukazi clarified that no official offer has been made by Kaizer Chiefs. He urged fans not to get their hopes up prematurely. However, the chairman did reveal that several Chiefs representatives have contacted the player directly.

Sukazi mentioned missed calls to Dithejane from Kaizer Jr, Tera Maliwa, and coach Vela Khumalo. He emphasized that any club wishing to sign the player must follow formal protocols. “If they want to put an offer, we will talk with them,” Sukazi added.

For now, Dithejane remains a cornerstone of the TS Galaxy project. The club seems determined to hold onto their star unless a premium offer arrives.
