Liverpool are the better team at the moment. The Reds are on top of the English Premier League with a one-point lead over Arsenal. They have also won their last three games on the trot against Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Fulham.
United have largely been inconsistent this season with Erik Ten Hag’s job on the line at the moment amidst the team’s inconsistent results and recent humiliating exit from the Champions League. However, the Red Devils tend to up their game when playing against their traditional arch-rivals. Expect Ten Hag’s team to be improved in this game and they could hold the log leaders to a draw.

Former United captain Harry Maguire has been in an improved form of late as he went on to win the Premier League player of the month for the last month. He will make life difficult for the Liverpool attack to breach the Red Devils goalline.
Expect this to be a low-scoring game as United will play with a high defensive line. While Liverpool should have the majority of possession in this game, United will aim to frustrate the Anfield based club. United will be prepared to settle for a draw in this game. Liverpool will push hard to try and win but this could also result in them being frustrated if United are prepared to sit back and defend for large portions of the game.
Bet on Mohamed Salah to score
The Egyptian has been in great form for Liverpool this season. Good performances from him will be key in determining if Liverpool can go all the way and win the Premier League title this season. The 31-year-old is the second highest scorer in the league this season with 11 goals and only Erling Haaland (14) has scored more goals than him in the current campaign.
Expect Salah to score in this game as he is bound to cause problems for the United defence.
