Orlando Pirates have officially completed the signing of a new midfielder from Stellenbosch FC.
The young midfielder, Ronaldo Adams, is the younger brother of the late Jayden Adams. Jayden passed away three months ago while at the peak of his career with Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana. He died due to an alleged suicide while visiting family in Cape Town after the World Cup.
Ronaldo Adams is expected to honor and carry forward his brother’s memory. He has already relocated to Johannesburg and began training with the Sea Robbers’ DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) squad. A source at the club confirmed his arrival, noting that the youngster is settling in well and looking impressive during early sessions.
In addition to this signing, the Soweto giants are actively negotiating with eMalahleni United. They are aiming to secure midfielder Tebatso Letsoalo. The Witbank-born player has already traveled to Johannesburg to train with the team.
These roster moves highlight how top South African clubs constantly rebuild their development structures to sustain long-term success. The DDC team currently serves as the defending champions of the Reserve League, making these squad depth additions crucial for the season ahead.
