Mamelodi Sundowns FC have reached another major milestone in South African football. A 3-0 victory over Siwelele FC on Wednesday evening sealed their dominance.

The result extended two historic PSL records for the club.

Historic Dominance at Home

According to data reported by soccerladuma.co.za, the Pretoria side is now unbeaten at home for over two years.

Their current streak stands at 34 PSL league matches without a home loss. This run includes 31 wins and three draws since May 2024.

The win also extended another league record:

  • 34 consecutive home matches with at least one goal scored.

Surpassing Past Benchmarks

This achievement moves Miguel Cardoso’s side past previous national benchmarks.

  • Kaizer Chiefs previously held a 30-game unbeaten home streak in 2005. That record stood for nearly two decades.
  • Sundowns held the next best record of 28 home games unbeaten in 2024.

Maintaining both a scoring streak and an unbeaten run across 34 home fixtures reflects rare consistency. Home matches have turned into a steep challenge for visiting teams. Facing Sundowns on their home turf remains a massive hurdle in domestic football.
