Robert Lewandowski is facing a pivotal choice in his career. For the first time since 2014, he is a free agent with the opportunity to join any club willing to present him with a contract.

His current deal with FC Barcelona, which began four years ago, will officially end on June 30. During his time with the Catalan club, he appeared in 193 games and netted 120 goals.

Up until now, the most likely scenario involved Lewandowski leaving Europe. At 37 years of age, reports suggest he is choosing between MLS and the Saudi Pro League. In the United States, the Chicago Fire has shown continued interest in securing his talents.

Briefly, there was speculation about a move to Italy, but Juventus and AC Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League, making that option less appealing.

Surprisingly, new developments suggest Lewandowski might remain in Europe. Even more intriguing, he could continue competing in the Champions League. According to Yagiz Sabuncuoglou, quoting a candidate for the presidency of Fenerbahce, the Polish international has received a formal offer.

Hakan Safi, a candidate for the Fenerbahce presidency, has officially made an offer to Robert Lewandowski! – the journalist reported.

Fenerbahce, the runners-up in Turkey during the 2025/2026 season, will aim to secure a spot in the Champions League through the qualification rounds next season. Interestingly, they might face Górnik Zabrze in the draw.

Previously, the team was guided by coach Jose Mourinho, with Sebastian Szymański standing out as one of its pivotal players. Fenerbahce boasts an impressive record as a 19-time national champion and a 7-time winner of the domestic cup.
