Young talent development remains a critical focus in domestic football. Strategic loan deals allow top clubs to offer valuable game time to emerging players. Kaizer Chiefs are continuing this approach ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Defenders Xolani Cossa and Sifiso Timba have officially secured temporary moves to Motsepe Foundation Championship side Gomora United.

Strategic Moves for Regular Playing Time

Xolani Cossa spent last season in the Botswana Premier League with Black Lions FC. The Botswana side wished to retain the young left-sided centre-back for another year. However, a strategic decision brought him back to South Africa.

Gomora United signed Cossa on loan before the new season kicks off in late August. Gomora chairman Joe Seanego confirmed the arrival of the defender from Amakhosi to Soccer Laduma.

Sifiso Timba also rejoins Gomora United on a season-long loan. Timba spent the second half of last campaign with the club. His previous performance convinced Gomora to secure his services once again.

Goalkeeper Bontle Molefe Also Set for Loan Deal

The squad management strategy extends beyond the defense line. Chiefs are currently working to secure a temporary move for goalkeeper Bontle Molefe.

Molefe spent the second half of last season at Leicesterford City. He is expected to join a club in the Motsepe Foundation Championship to gain further senior experience.
