Glody Lilepo is making a significant impact at Naturena. His recent form for Kaizer Chiefs has caught the eye of overseas suitors.

The 28-year-old attacker joined the Soweto giants in January last year. He moved from French side Valenciennes FC. He currently plays on a two-and-a-half-year deal with an option for an extra season.

Strong Statistical Impact

Lilepo has been a consistent presence in the lineup this season. He has featured in 28 matches across all competitions. This includes eight appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Congolese forward has proven his value in front of goal. He has recorded seven goals and two assists so far. His contributions are vital to the club’s attacking strategy.

Decisive Recent Performances

The attacker’s influence was clear in recent fixtures. He scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Durban City Football Club. He also provided an assist during the 2-0 win against Magesi FC.

These results keep the team in the hunt for a Top Three finish. Securing continental football for next season remains the primary goal.

Emerging Interest from Abroad

Reports suggest that Lilepo is now drawing interest from Kazakhstan. Initial enquiries have been made to gather information about the player.

However, no formal offers have been submitted to the club yet. The situation remains in the early stages. The forward’s experience with Al Hilal Omdurman and AS Vita Club makes him an attractive prospect for international markets.

Looking Ahead

Amakhosi will return to action on 6 April. They are scheduled to face Orbit College FC after the FIFA international break. The club is expected to monitor any formal developments regarding Lilepo’s future during the upcoming transfer window.
