Chelsea is experiencing an exceptionally disappointing campaign in the Premier League. The Blues are currently enduring a streak of six consecutive defeats and sit in a modest ninth place in the league standings. However, they still have a chance to salvage their season by securing the FA Cup trophy.
The London club will face Manchester City in the final at Wembley. Similarly, Tottenham Hotspur has had a challenging season, grappling with their fight to avoid relegation. Despite this, the Spurs managed to earn seven points from their last three matches, lifting themselves out of the relegation zone.
According to information from soydelmillo.com, both Premier League sides have been keeping a close eye on Ian Subiabre from River Plate. The 19-year-old winger is regarded as one of the brightest young talents emerging from Argentina and is increasingly making waves among the top European clubs.
Reports from Argentine media suggest that the player’s agent is eager to facilitate a transfer as early as this summer, with River Plate anticipating formal offers from Europe. The Buenos Aires-based club is reportedly open to selling Subiabre for approximately €13 million. For Chelsea and Tottenham, such an investment would be relatively manageable.
Interestingly, the interest in the young Argentine isn’t restricted to English clubs. Subiabre is also being monitored by Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig. So far this season, the winger has made 20 appearances across all competitions, contributing one goal and two assists.
River Plate currently values the player at €3.5 million, though the club is expecting a significantly higher transfer fee. The winger’s contract is valid until the end of 2028.
