Faiz Abrahams has officially launched his career with Kaizer Chiefs, stepping onto the field for his debut during a recent Betway Premiership clash. The 21-year-old attacker, on a season-long loan with a buy option from Stellenbosch FC, came off the bench to add attacking spark.
Coach Fernando Da Cruz introduced Abrahams on the right flank as an inverted winger while trailing 2-1 against Richards Bay FC. Tasked with creating chances in the final third, the young player delivered a 24-minute display filled with directness and flair.

“We played well enough to win the game but we had a couple of misfortunes which we will definitely work on cutting out going forward. The conditions made things a bit difficult. It was windy as well which made controlling the slippery ball difficult but overall, I think the guys coped well in the circumstances.”

The young forward is now targeting long-term consistency as Amakhosi prepare for their upcoming league match against Siwelele FC on September 5. Establishing a regular role requires daily effort at Naturena.
“I’m just going to keep working as hard as I can in order to maintain a high standard week in, week out. Consistency is the most important thing.”
