Bet on England to Win
England opened their campaign with a 1-0 win over Serbia. They were made to word hard by the Serbs and had it not been for a first-half masterclass display from Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham, Serbia may have succeeded in taking a point from the game.
England will look to improve in this game. They should beat Denmark especially as the Danes are not as strong as they were three years ago when they reached the semi-finals of the Euros.
Bet on England to Win 2-0
England have lost just one out of their last five games against Denmark (a 1-0 defeat in October 2020). That defeat also happened just after the COVID-19 pandemic which threw the Three Lions into a bit of disarray.
England should have their feet on the ground in this game. Manager Gareth Southgate will strive to have his troops motivated for this encounter. England’s defence should hold firm against the threat of Christian Eriksen. In the end, it should be a comfortable win for the Three Lions.
Bet on Jude Bellingham to Score
Bellingham is England’s best player and a contender to win the Ballon d’Or this year. He will be a big threat to Denmark and there is a good chance that he will score in this game.
What the managers say?
England boss Southgate admitted that his players were not at their best against Serbia. He will hope for an improved performance from them in this game.
“I thought physically we had players that needed the game. We’ve had a lot of players that hadn’t played 90 minutes for a long time,” Southgate said as reported by The Mirror.
“We expended a lot of energy in that first half. I knew that we would dip. And it was a good moment to bring Conor [Gallagher] into the game, who can get up to the ball and provide that bit more defensive solidity at that time.”
“There’s obviously a lot of new players, young players, so the team that started was a very experienced team in terms of international and club bar Marc, really, who had a brilliant game. So we’re just going to have to assess as we go from game to game.”
Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand has said that his team will be out for revenge against England who eliminated them from Euro 2020.
“We started with England, here we go again,” Hjulmand said as quoted by The Independent. “We haven’t forgotten what happened at Wembley but England are a great team, they have a great manager and I have great respect for English football.”
