Sundowns to Win

Sundowns are by far the best team in South Africa and perhaps the best on the entire African continent. AmaZulu are an average team by South African league standards and have by all means been underachieving this season.

Masandawana are first in the league and have won all nine of their games so far. They have a two-point lead over second-place Cape Town City despite having played four games fewer than the Western Cape based side.

AmaZulu have only won three out of their 12 league games so far. On paper, this should be a comfortable win for Masandawana as long as they get the basics correct.

Bet on Sundowns to Win 2-0

Sundowns will know that the league campaign is a marathon and not a sprint. As a result, they are bound to outplay AmaZulu in this game. However, they will also not over-exert themselves against Usuthu.

Usuthu have won four out of their last five games. Three of those featured them scoring two goals and one featured them scoring three goals. Usuthu will play to their best in this game but it is still hard to see them not conceding less than two goals against the mighty Masandawana.

Usuthu will also find it hard to score against Rhulani Mokwena’s side.

Bet on Both Teams to Not Score

The likes of Junior Dion and Chidi Kwem are experienced campaigners and capable of scoring against any side in the league. However, Mokwena’s side’s defence will know how to contain them and should comfortably negotiate any shots thrown in the way of Ronwen Williams’ goal.

Williams should succeed in keeping a clean sheet against Usuthu. AmaZulu’s attack has not done overwhelmingly well this season as it has scored just 10 goals from 12 games and they will find the goings tough against Sundowns.

By contrast, Sundowns have scored 19 goals in the league so far and that should increase in this game.
