Match Predictions

Third place Atletico Madrid will hope to sustain a title push as they prepare to play against Getafe at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano this weekend.

Atletico Madrid vs Getafe Betting Tips

  • Bet on Atleti to win – 1.42 at Betway.
  • Bet on Atleti to win 2-0 – 4.20 at Betfred.
  • Bet on Antoine Griezmann to score – 3.00 at Betway.

Bet on Atleti to win

Real Madrid have not been at their best this season. Barcelona started on a high, even surpassing the expectations of their fans. However, Hansi Flick’s side have since started making mistakes and are now no longer La Liga’s runaway league leaders. Should the Blaugrana continue to make errors and Atleti win, Diego Simeone’s side could be legitimate title challengers this season. After all, the two league titles that Atleti have won under Simeone have been when Barcelona and Real both struggled for form.

Bet on Atleti to win 2-0

Atleti are third in the league with 35 points after 16 games. They trail leaders Barcelona by only three points albeit also having played a game less. Should Atleti carry on on this trajectory, they could be title contenders as long as Barcelona and Real continue to make mistakes.

Atleti are tight defensively. They have kept clean sheets in three out of their last four games and only conceded once in that time which was in their 2-1 win over Alaves. Atleti have a tight defensive unit and this has helped them to do well since Simeone took charge of the club in 2011.

Bet on Antoine Griezmann to score

At 33, Griezmann remains a talented and classy act. He has scored seven goals in the La Liga so far this season from 16 games. He will be a threat to the Getafe defence in this game as he will get the ball in close range to score a few times. The Frenchman can be backed to score in this game.
